The Public Service Pensions remedy (‘McCloud’) addresses the age discrimination identified in the 2015 pension scheme reforms, giving eligible members the choice between legacy and reformed scheme benefits for the remedy period (April 2015 to March 2022).
The NHS Pension Scheme, managed and administered by the NHSBSA, is delivering the McCloud remedy to all affected members.
What are we publishing?
This dataset provides information about the progress made by the NHS Pension Service in delivering the Public Service Pensions remedy (‘McCloud’) to affected Scheme members, including:
- Number of RSS issued to members
- Number of RSS choice decision forms completed and returned by members
- Number of RSS choices enacted by NHS Pensions

Why are we publishing this data?
The NHS Pension Scheme is committed to transparent delivery of the McCloud remedy. As the largest public service pension scheme, we're publishing regular progress data so our members can see exactly how implementation is progressing.
