FOI-02733

I am writing to confirm that I have now completed my search for the information which you requested.

Request

Please can you provide information relating to dental practice contracts.

I am looking for businesses/dentists that Dropped/lost their contract in the last 6 years, by year and also any future cessations of NHS contracts that you have data for.

I would like to see contract value, dentist, location, Practice and any other information that is readily available and relative.

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 8 April 2025.

We requested clarification on 23 April 2025 with the below:

  1. Would you like Contract Values for every reporting year or just the most recent value (Financial Value) before the contract shut?

This is due to the fact that some contracts will appear multiple times if they have a value in more than one year as their value can alter each year.

  1. Some closed contracts also may not show any value as one may not have been given, would you also like to see these?

You responded on 25 April 2025 with the following:

Yes, please can you provide as much detail as possible.

Looking for every reporting year please and also null values is fine.

We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Our response

I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and a copy of the information and notes explaining it is attached.

This data does not include the reason the contract ended as this is not captured. E.g. some contracts are only intended to last 12 months to fill a short term commissioning need.
