Please note that in line with our dental data retention schedule, we only hold data from 2016/17 financial year onwards.
Data is provided for England only, as per the request.
Please note there are no Child Only contracts in 2020/2021.
Definitions
Reporting Year: The financial year associated with the contractual/activity information.
Contract Number: This is a unique 10 character number which identifies a contract.
Provider Name: The name of the provider.
Contract Type: Either GDS – General Dental Services, PDS – Personal Dental Services or PDS Plus – Personal Dental Services Plus.
Contract Start Date: The start date of the contract, as recorded on CoMPASS.
Contract End Date: Any end date of the contract, as recorded on CoMPASS. Where provided on CoMPASS an end date will show. Where there is no end data, this will be blank.
UDA Financial Value: The financial value associated with the UDA performance target for the financial year, as entered on CoMPASS by the Primary Care Organisation i.e. commissioner (PCO).
UDA Performance Target: The contracted units of dental activity to be achieved for the year, as entered on CoMPASS by the PCO.
UDA Delivered: The units of dental activity scheduled for the financial year for the period selected, relating to the financial year.
Cost per UDA: This shows the cost per unit of dental activity at the contract. This is calculated by dividing the UDA Financial Value by the UDA Performance Target.
UDA Delivered: The units of dental activity scheduled for the reporting year, excluding Foundation Dentist UDA for English contracts.
% Delivered UDA: UDA Delivered-UDA Carry Forward/UDA Performance Target
Child or Child-Exempt Only? – This indicates the contracts which have only scheduled general FP17s for either children only, or child and exempt adults only.
Performance Adjustments – where there were monies taken back for under-delivery, related to that financial year’s under performance, the value taken is shown here. These payments are taken after the financial year is complete.
Number of contracts: a count of the total number of paid contracts in England, which includes both GDS and PDS contracts.
