New ODP datasets now available: BNF codes

The British National Formulary (BNF) codes dataset is now available on the NHSBSA Open Data Portal (ODP).

The dataset has migrated from being hosted on the Information Services Portal (ISP) to the ODP as part of a drive to improve services and better meet the needs of users in line with our our 2024-2029 stategy.

We are publishing three datasets on the ODP which will provide information on BNF code data:

  • a current year dataset hosting a monthly view of the BNF from January to December
  • a historic dataset showing previous year-end data
  • a dedicated monthly changes dataset showing monthly changes for the 'current calendar year’

    Explore the dataset now:

  • access the data via our Data Explorer – you can download it directly or connect via an application programming interface (API)
