The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) processes fee claims and arranges payments to community pharmacies in England for providing COVID-19 vaccinations as part of an enhanced service.
What are we publishing?
This management information dataset includes information on fees paid to community pharmacies in England for providing the COVID-19 vaccination service. It provides more detail and more timely data than is available in the annual General Pharmaceutical Services official statistics.
This data can be used to understand how NHS resources are utilised to deliver vaccination services at national and local levels, on a monthly basis.
Why are we publishing this data?
The data is being released to enhance openness and transparency regarding NHS payments to pharmacies. This release will align information on COVID-19 vaccination services with that of the seasonal influenza vaccination advanced service, for which payment details are already publicly available.
Planned date of release?
Initially planned for June 2025.
And thereafter on a monthly basis mid-month.
Each January we anticipate releasing an “Annual” dataset covering payments for the period from September of the previous year to August.
