1. How many E112/S2 authorisations have been issued in 2022? How many of those related to maternity care?

2. For the last 12 month period (hopefully this will be the 2022 calendar year) please provide a table showing the country that the patient was treated in under the provisions of the E112/S2.

Question 1

609 S2’s (including E112) were issued by the UK in 2022. Please see table below for total maternity figures.

Question 2

Please note: We cannot say what country people were treated in. Some S2’s are never used so no treatment occurs. However, we can say what country the planned treatment was for. It takes us a long time to hear whether it was used, hence distinguishing treatment from intention.
