“The number of patient referrals made by community pharmacies back to general practices as part of the NHS Community Pharmacy Blood Pressure Check service, where a patient's blood pressure reading has been 'Very High'.

Could I also request the ODS codes and postcodes of the pharmacy contractors who made the referrals.

Can I please get this breakdown for each month since the service launched in October 2021?”

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. We do not currently capture confirmation of a referral. What we do have is blood pressure check information so the number of patients with a blood pressure classed as “very high” could be identified if we look at any records where a BP check has Systolic reading of 180 or higher or a Diastolic reading of 120 or higher.
