Under Freedom of Information, I would like to request the number of Total number of individuals who have claimed Healthy Start Vouchers in Shropshire for the months of April 2022, May 2022, June, 2022, July 2022, August 2022, September 2022 and October 2022.

Response

People on the NHS Healthy Start scheme receive a prepaid card. The paper voucher scheme closed in March 2022 and vouchers are no longer used.

The data published on the NHS Healthy Start website up to March 2022 relates to beneficiaries, which is the person who the benefit is meant for (the child or pregnant person).

Data relating to the scheme from April 2022 onwards is provided as number of households. This relates to the household or adult claimant actively receiving the payments. There could be multiple beneficiaries living within one household. Therefore, data provided by household is not comparable to data by beneficiary.

A copy of the data is attached. The data is reported as of the final day of each month.
