2. How many PCNs, which were issued from 1st April 2020 to 30th September 2022, were challenged by the recipient. (If possible please give numbers of claimants who thought contributions based JSA allowed them free dental care).

3. For the period 1st April 2020 to 30th September 2022 - How many patients received more than 1 PCN within 6 months of each other? Thank you’

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority.

Due to the way the information is recorded, it is not possible to provide figures on the exact number of PCNs which were challenged, as PCNs can be challenged informally without this being recorded.

Unfortunately, the records held don’t allow us to easily count the number of people who were sent PCNs, as we do not have access to information such as NHS numbers, which would allow us to uniquely identify patients.
