I have previously been supplied the following data (FOI Request Final Response 27665): ‘Broken down by region, please provide data on the number of Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) delivered by each individual dentist delivering NHS general dental services in England for 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/21 and 2021/22. If a given name is not attributable for each provider, please provide a unique identifier, that may enable comparison across years. This request recognises that some dentists may perform NHS activity in multiple regions in a single financial year.’ I am requesting the same data in the same format for 2006-7, 2007-8, 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15.

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority.

Unfortunately, due to data retention regulations we only hold data as far back as 2014/2015.

2014/15

A copy of the information is attached. The data we have provided shows the performers who have submitted UDA claims. Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data.

This report contains the details from FP17s processed for the period stated 2014/2015 in England. The information within the report includes the data items and descriptions listed below.
Commissioner Code: This is the 3 character code associated with the Commissioning Organisation. This a generic term used to denote health bodies, either Area Teams in England or Health Boards in Wales. Also known as Primary Care Organisations (PCOs).
Commissioner Name: This is the name associated with the Commissioning Organisation. This is a generic term used to denote health bodies, either Area Teams in England or Health Boards in Wales. Also known as Primary Care Organisations (PCOs).
Region Description: This is the name associated with the Region.
Contract Number: This is a unique 10 character number which identifies a contract.
Provider Name: The name of the provider
Performer Number: The performer’s personal number. This will be the number reported on the form or where this is not reported this will be the provider number where there is only one performer; else the form is rejected.
Performer Name: The latest performer's (dentist) surname, as entered on CoMPASS
Financial Year: The financial year associated with the 'Year Month' dimension in the format 'YYYY/YYYY' e.g. 2018/2019 for 201804.
UDA Delivered: The units of dental activity scheduled for the financial year to date for the period selected, relating to the financial year e.g. in December this will cover the scheduled months of April to December, excluding FD UDA for English contracts and including UDA for Welsh contracts.
