Response
Questions 3 and 4
I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. We are unable to provide data on secondary care inclisiran prescribing as this is predominantly administered and dispensed within the hospital setting, so we do not receive the data.
However it is possible that NHS England may hold some or all of the information you require. They can be contacted at:

Questions 1, 2, and 5
A copy of the information is attached.
Time Period
October 2021 to September 2022 inclusive.
Contents
The data covers prescribing in primary care settings in England, where the medicine was dispensed in the community.
Data is shown for prescribing of Inclisiran (BNF chemical substance code 0212000AM) as both generic and branded (Leqvio) presentations.
In the results for question 2, patients who could not be identified by means of a valid NHS number on the prescription form are excluded; prescribing to unidentified patients is included in the results for questions 1 and 5.
NHSBSA Prescription Services process prescriptions and information is then used to make payments to pharmacists and appliance contractors (in England) for prescriptions dispensed in primary care settings. This involves processing approximately 1 billion prescription items and payments totalling over £9 billion each year. The information gathered from this process is then used to provide information on costs and trends in prescribing in England and Wales to over 25,000 registered NHS and Department of Health users.
Exclusions
The data excludes -
• Items not dispensed, disallowed and those returned to the contractor for further clarification.
• Prescriptions prescribed and dispensed in Prisons, Hospitals and Private prescriptions.
• Items prescribed but not presented for dispensing or not submitted to NHS Prescription Services by the dispenser.
