‘1) I would like to know how many automated checks have been performed on patients who claimed entitlement to exemption from NHS Dental charges since January 2022?

2) I would like to know how many penalty notices, of £100 pounds, have been issued since January 2022 because of the above-mentioned checks or how many were issued per year for the last 3 years, in England only, please?’

1,250,592 forms were checked from 1 January to 22 June 2022.

Question 2

20 penalty charge notices with a value of £100 were issued to people who claimed free or reduced cost NHS dental treatment during the same period. Note that £100 is not a standard amount.
