Response
Question 1
As of 5 July 2022, 2,020 claims have been submitted to the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme in respect of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Question 2
As of 5 July 2022, 123 claims have been or are in the process of being assessed by independent medical assessors.
Question 3
As of 5 July 2022, following medical assessment, nine COVID-19 claims have met the criteria for a vaccine damage payment.
Question 4
As of 5 July 2022, nine COVID-19 claims did not meet the scheme's eligibility criteria and therefore we were unable to progress them to the medical assessment stage. This is because they were either:
a claim relating to a COVID-19 vaccination administered outside of the UK and Isle of Man
a duplicate of a claim that we had already received
