Hi, can I get the number of NHS Discharge Medicines Services (NHS DMS) completed by individual pharmacies, listed by their ODS code and with full postal address details. Can I get this from February 2021 to the current date by month Format I’m looking for: • Column 1 – Year/Month (e.g 202101, 202102, 202103, etc.) • Column 2 - ODS code • Column 3 - Name of pharmacy • Column 4 - Address line 1 • Column 5 - Address line 2 • Column 6 - Address line 3 • Column 7 - Address line 4 • Column 8 - Address town • Column 9 - Address postcode • Column 10 - Number of NHS DMS

Under Section 21 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you.

The DMS data is published monthly on the website at https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/prescription-data/dispensing-data/nhs-discharge-medicines-service. The first file (March 2021) is for what took place in February and was subsequently submitted to us in March.

Each row in the file is one claim therefore to get the total number of NHS DMS completed by each individual pharmacy please count the rows for each pharmacy.

The name and address of pharmacies is published via the Information Services Portal (ISP) at https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/access-our-data-products/information-services-portal-isp. Once logged in as a guest click ‘+Report’, ‘Common Information Reports’, ‘Organisation Data’ and ‘Contractor Details’. The contractor details report includes the OCS (ODS) code (known as the Pharmacy code in the DMS data) which you can use to link to the DMS data.
