You asked us: 

I request the total quantity dispensed (number of items) for each product presentation listed in the attached supporting document, for the period 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 (inclusive). 

The products covered are enoxaparin sodium (brands: Clexane, Clexane Forte, Inhixa, Arovi, Ledraxen), dalteparin sodium (brand: Fragmin), and tinzaparin sodium (brand: Innohep), as set out in full in the attached document. 

SCOPE — IMPORTANT: This request is limited strictly to FP10 prescriptions issued by NHS Trusts in England. The list of NHS Trusts to which this request applies is provided in the accompanying Excel file. This request expressly excludes all prescriptions issued on behalf of Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) or by primary care prescribers. Only secondary care Trust-issued FP10 volume should be included in the response. 

Where dispensing is recorded under both a generic name and a brand name for the same presentation, please do not duplicate entries — full deduplication instructions are set out in the attached document. 

Preferred format: Microsoft Excel or CSV, with separate columns for product description, brand name (where applicable), quantity dispensed (items), and dispensing NHS Trust where available. 

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 4 May 2026.

Advice and assistance 

Please note, the NHSBSA only holds data on hospital prescribing if it has been dispensed within a community setting. The limited prescribing data we do hold relating to hospitals is published within the dataset available in the link given above. 

The dataset includes both generic and branded presentations where applicable (for example there is data relating to both generic Dalteparin sodium and Fragmin presentations in the December 2025 data).
