I am currently writing a paper on dental implants in patients who have undergone radiotherapy and would be grateful if you could provide the following information:

1.How many patients in the UK have recieved dental implants funded by the NHS

2.How many of these are for post oncology reconstruction

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHSBSA.

This is because dental implant treatment is not captured as a specific, separately identifiable data item on the FP17 dental claim form, which is the mechanism used to collect information on NHS primary care dental activity.
