Our Response

Under Section 21 of the FOIA we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you.

Before Enquiry letters are issued, checks are carried out to verify the validity of the claim. We match the details on the prescription/dental form against our database of NHSBSA Exemptions and then pass to DWP to check for any qualifying benefits. Where an exemption cannot be made the Enquiry letters are issued.
