FOI-03314

Thank you for your request for information about the following:

Request

‘Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request an updated figure for the number of Remediable Service Statements (RSS) that have been issued to members of the following cohort:

Members of the NHS Pension Scheme who retired by 1 October 2023, were formerly unprotected, and have only 1995/2008 (legacy) benefits in payment.

In your previous response to FOI-02982 (published via opendata.nhsbsa.net), you confirmed that there were 5,012 individuals in this cohort and that, as of 2 July 2025, 999 RSS letters had been issued.

Please could you now provide:

The latest available total number of RSS letters that have been issued to this same cohort, as at 24 October 2025 (or the most recent date for which data is available); and

Any accompanying commentary or documents showing the current timetable or completion projection for this cohort.’

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 26 October 2025.

We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
