Dental penalty surcharge 2015: What's the complete fee imposed for this at this part of time? NHS dental services but the enquiry was generic freedom of information not data protection.

Therefore I would be grateful if you would help with the following:
1. Are you looking for dental banding charges or penalty charges for dental, or something else? If it is something else please can you describe this.
2. Is this just for 1 charge or is it the total for the year of 2015?
3. If it is for the total year please can you confirm if this is the financial year or calendar year?

We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
Our response
The surcharge is 50% of the penalty charge value up to £50.
The penalty charge itself is 5 times the treatment charge up to £100 maximum, and the surcharge is 50% of the penalty charge. The same was true in 2015.
