1. Can you supply the number of organisations that have recieved a PPV audit in england across the last 10 months which are additional contract holders
2. Can you confirm across the below cities how many additional contract holders have recieved an audit

3. Can you supply the list of organisations audited the data supplied in q2
On the 26 March 2025 you clarified the following:
Question 1 – Please can you supply an exact date range you would like us to search? and for the PPV audit do you mean those who have had a PPV request completed in the period or those we initialised contact for a PPV in the period?
Those initialised contact for a ppv in the period , In the last two financial years.
Question 2. - Are these Additional contractors who are registered with offices in those cities, or contractors who have additional contracts in those cities?

Question 3. - Is this request the list of organisations who were audited or the organisations who did the audit?

I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested, and a copy of the information is attached.
Data has been taken from our Case Management System (CMS) and has an "Evidence requested date" within the requested financial years.
PPV stands for Post Payment Verification.
The PPV exercise was undertaken by the NHS Business Services Authority on behalf of NHS England and Integrated Care Boards.
Since 1 April 2022, as part of our contract management service, the NHSBSA have supported NHS General Ophthalmic Services contractors to apply for a contract, terminate their contract and apply for a contract variation. This means we cannot guarantee the accuracy of 'Contracts' and 'Contract Type' data for contractors predating 1 April 2022. NHS England previously administrated the contact management service.
