Our response
I can confirm that we hold the information you have requested, and a copy of the information is attached.
Please read the notes to ensure your correct understanding of the data.
We calculate payments for covid vaccinations to pharmacies and Primary Care Network groupings in England. Each month, vaccine providers submit claims to request payment based on the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Service COVID-19 vaccination programme’s specification (the service specification).
Data included in this request is limited to vaccinations carried out by pharmacies only.
Data included in this request is also limited to vaccinations administered in December
2024.
The vaccine data is the latest held in the NHSBSA Data Warehouse. Pharmacy names and address details held in NHSBSA systems are as of Thursday 23 January 2025.
Payments comprise an Item of Service (IoS) fee and potentially a Supplementary fee. Payments do not relate to the value of the drugs dispensed.
Payment data includes payments made and those scheduled for payment in the future. Scheduled payments are provisional and may be subject to change before being made.
The total used for the payment calculation may not match the totals shown in 'live' Point of Care systems or our Manage Your Service portal that continues to receive updates after the snapshot used to calculate payments was taken.
Please note that some vaccinations attract a supplementary fee. This means that it is not possible to determine the number of vaccinations by dividing the total paid by the basic IoS fee.
This data does not include any adjustments made by our Provider Assurance team as part of any post payment verification exercise. These adjustments are made at account level and may relate to several months of activity.
New records from old administration months can be entered in the future. This means that the totals provided for each administration month could change when more data is processed.
The columns provided are:
