Request
‘I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am interested in understanding the volume and status of Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) requests handled by your organisation over the past five years.
Specifically, I would like to request the following information
Monthly Breakdown of CETV Requests
The number of CETV requests received each month from January 2020 to December 2024.
Outstanding CETV Requests
The number of CETV requests from each month that are still outstanding as of the date of this request.’
The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) received your request on 8 January 2025.
We requested clarification for the below on 10 January 2025:
Where your request mentions ‘CETV requests’, do you mean Transfer Out CETVs, Pensions on Divorce CETVs, or both?
Does your request concern the actual payment of the CETV (not applicable for Pensions on Divorce), or the provision of a CETV estimate?
You responded with the following on 10 January 2025:
We are looking for Pensions on Divorce CETVs and the provision of a CETV estimate
We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.
Response
I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and a copy of the information and notes explaining it is attached.
Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data.
Outstanding volumes are based on the work having been identified as a Pensions on Divorce CETV. It is possible a request may have been received, but not yet identified as a CETV request, as it is awaiting allocation for processing.
