Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data.

Members may be employed by both GP Practices and Non-GP Practices concurrently; if so they will be counted in volumes for both sets of questions.

Members may have non-bank employments concurrently, which may or may not be updated; these are not assessed for this FOI request.

Members are included in questions 3 and 4 if they have multiple concurrent employments of the respective type; this may be with the same employing authority or a different employing authority.

Employments commencing on or after 01 April 2024 are not assessed for questions 5 and 6, as they cannot be updated to 31 March 2024.

Members may have additional non-updated posts (for GP Practices and Non-GP Practices, as well as non-Bank posts) and still be included in the volumes for questions 5 and 6, if at least one of the respective types of post is updated.

Definitions

Active Scheme Member – Member was contributing to the pension scheme as of 31 October 2024.

Out of Hours provider – An Employing Authority which provides GP out of hours cover outside of normal practice hours.
