Request
Further to my previous communication, I can see that you provided the required additional advice in your original response of 24 October 2024, so I would like to withdraw my request for an IR and would like you to provide the information you hold relevant to the request.
I would however appreciate a response concerning the previously submitted request to the NHSBSA and why you did not require clarification, but just provided the similarly worded requested information:

Response
Further to my previous communication, I can see that you provided the required additional advice in your original response of 24 October 2024, so I would like to withdraw my request for an IR and would like you to provide the information you hold relevant to the request.
I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested and I have attached a copy of the information.
Please read the below notes to ensure you understand the data.
Our data
NHSBSA does not directly make payments to Primary Care Network (PCN) providers. This means we do not hold data on payment dates, or the exact amounts paid to each provider.
Claims for payment are processed by NHSBSA, acting on behalf of NHS England (NHSE).
Providers use the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal to submit a monthly declaration to claim payment for the activity they have carried out. MYS uses data that has been transferred into the portal from each provider’s own in-house point of care (POC) IT system. For more information on the claim submission process, visit: COVID-19 vaccination payment for primary care providers | NHSBSA
The NHSBSA shares payment calculation data with Primary Care Support England (PCSE), who make payments to PCN providers in England for the COVID-19 vaccinations they have administered.
Data definitions
The attached data includes:
• Submission date: - the date when the provider submitted a declaration in MYS
• Number of Covid vaccination fees: the number of doses claimed
• Payment amount (GBP) the standard fee. This includes the item of service (IoS) fee, and any supplementary fees and additional payment where applicable. The process for additional payments is set out in the NHSE’s enhanced service specification documents.
• NHSBSA calculation date for top up: see notes below for more information about the 'top up' payments that were applicable to doses between 16 October 2021 and 31 January 2022.
• Ancillary Payment Amount GBP: the amount of the top up payment. see notes below for more information about the 'top up' payments that were applicable to doses between 16 October 2021 and 31 January 2022.
Payment amounts do not relate to the value of the drugs dispensed. Some vaccinations attract a supplementary fee, so it is not possible to determine the number of vaccinations by dividing the total payment amount by the basic IoS fee.
GP practice ODS codes
We do not hold Primary Care Network (PCN) Grouping information. This means we cannot break down our data by GP Practice Organisation Data Service (ODS) Code. The data we can provide therefore shows only the ODS code of the nominated lead GP Practice - who submits and validates a monthly claim on behalf of a group of GP practices. For more information about how PCN Groupings submit their claims, visit: COVID-19 vaccination payment for primary care providers | NHSBSA
We include the following lead practice ODS codes based on the GP practice names and addresses that you provided:
• For 'Windrush Surgery, Banbury, OX16 9SA' we searched for ODS code 'K84024' and found no claims.
• For 'Woodlands Surgery, Banbury, OX16 3WT' we searched for ODS code 'K84062' and found no claims.
• For 'Banbury Cross Health Centre, Banbury, OX16 9AD' we searched for ODS code 'K84028' and found claims. Information is attached.
• For 'Hightown Surgery, Banbury, OX16 9DB' we searched for ODS code 'K84059' and found claims. Information is attached.
• For 'Cropredy Surgery, Claydon Rd, Banbury, OX17 1FB' we searched for ODS code 'K84056' and found no claims.
Data period
Pharmacies and PCN providers must submit their monthly declaration during a specified submission period. This is usually the 1st to the 5th of each month
If a provider submits their declaration outside the submission period, their claim will be processed in the following period.
The attached data is limited to vaccinations administered between December 2020 and August 2024.
The attached data may not match the totals shown in 'live' POC systems or MYS.
This is a snapshot of the MYS system data that was taken on 6 September 2024. This is therefore after the August 2024 submission period.
Vaccination records are limited to those which have been associated with a declaration submission and included in a payment calculation sent to PCSE.
Adjustments and post payment verification (PPV)
The attached data does not include any adjustments made by NHSBSA Provider Assurance as part of a post payment verification exercise.
Adjustments are made at account level and may relate to several months of activity.
The data does not include claim submissions made in February 2021. February 2021 data was deleted and resubmitted to apply revised fee rates. February 2021 data is therefore reported against the resubmission. During this period there were some manual adjustments that may not all be reflected in the itemised records.
For doses administered between September 2021 and January 2022 there was a range of late notice fee rate changes. Over that time the pre-established rates were claimed as normal, and top up payments were made later in February, March and May 2022. These top ups have been reported against the original submission date. They are shown as 'Ancillary Payment Amount GBP'.
I would however appreciate a response concerning the previously submitted request to the NHSBSA and why you did not require clarification, but just provided the similarly worded requested information:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/claims_for_administering_covid_v#outgoing-1252678
We responded to the above request in February 2022. In line with our retention schedule, we no longer hold the internal records and discussions in relation to this request and why clarification was not required. I note however that the request did not ask for the dates that payments were made.
