I am writing to confirm that I have now completed my search for the information which you requested on 1 October 2024.
Request and our response
We have handled your request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.
I can confirm that the NHSBSA holds the information you have requested.

Where I refer to GP Practices I can confirm this does not include staff employed by an OOHs (Out of Hours) Provider I can confirm this does not relate to GPs.
The numberof members with more than one active post with different employers (non-GP Practice) as of 30 September 2024 is 43,367.
Caveats
GP Practices are identified as an employer with employment type of GP. For question 3 and 4 “NHS Employer” is defined as any employer which is NOT a GP Practice.
Due to the questions not being mutually exclusive, and members being able to be pensionable in any number of part time posts, it is possible for a member to be counted in each group.
Definitions:
Active Scheme Member – Member was contributing to the Scheme as of 30 September 2024.
Out of Hours provider – An Employing Authority which provides GP out of hours cover outside of normal practice hours.
