How many Penalty Charge Notices have been issued to people who claimed free NHS dental treatment between April 2019 and April 2024? Of this number, please provide:
- A breakdown of total Penalty Charge Notices between April 6th and April 5th in each financial year (2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24).
- The volume of cases that resulted in a fine being issued, and the total value of all fines, in each financial year.
- The volume of cases that were not pursued in each financial year.
- The volume of cases where the fine was challenged and overturned in each financial year.

In respect of question 3, I would like to know how many cases do not result in a fine and are closed.

• This data has been aggregated by each Financial Year.
• Question 3 shows cases that received an enquiry letter but did not receive a Penalty Charge/Surcharge
• Question 4 shows all cases closed for Exemption Confirmed or Cancelled status reasons. This includes cases closed at enquiry letter. Adding Question 3 and Question 4 together would cause duplication.
