‘Under the Freedom of Information Act, please provide the following data points for NHS General Dental Services. For each item, please provide total figures for Greater London, and a break down based on current local authority boundaries:

· The total number of courses of treatment in NHS general dental services delivered in London every month between January 2019 and the last month for which figures are available.

· The total number of Units of Dental Activity delivered in NHS dentistry in London every month between January 2019 and the last month for which figures are available, broken down by

A) children under 18 years of age

B) paying adults

C) exempt adults.

· The total number of New Patient Premium payments claimed by NHS general dental service contract holders in London under the government’s plan to recover and reform NHS dentistry every month between March 2024 and the last month for which figures are available, broken down by

A) children under 18 years of age

B) paying adults

C) exempt adults.’

Barking and Dagenham, Barnet, Bexley, Brent, Bromley, Camden, City of London, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond upon Thames, Southwark, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Wandsworth, Westminster

Part 1

This report contains the details from general FP17s processed in London local authorities for the months January 2019 (201901) to June 2024 (202406) and includes activity by Foundation Dentists. The information within the report includes the data items and descriptions listed below.

Year Month: Used throughout the system to identify the specific year and month that the data relates to, i.e. for forms, it would be the month that the activity was scheduled. This is in the format 'YYYYMM' e.g. 201804 for April 2018.

Part 1a

UDA Delivered: The units of dental activity scheduled for the time period selected relating to the financial year, where they were carried out by any performer.

Total FP17s: This is a count of the number of FP17s scheduled including adjustments for amended and deleted FP17s. Withdrawn FP17s are not included in the total count of FP17s. This figure may be zero or negative if deleted FP17s have been processed.

Part 1b

Child: FP17s where the patient is a child - defined as a child aged under 18

Non-Exempt: FP17s where the patient is an adult and exemption/remission description is a charge payer

Exempt: FP17s where the patient is an adult and patient charge status is exempt

Note: Contracts flagged with prison activity have been excluded.

Part 2

This report contains the details from general FP17s processed in London local authorities for the months of March 2024 to June 2024 and includes activity by Foundation Dentists. The information within the report includes the data items and descriptions listed below.

Part 2a

New Patient Premium (NPP) UDA Delivered: The units of dental activity scheduled for the time period selected that qualify for the new patient premium relating to the financial year, where they were carried out by any performer.

Total NPP FP17s: This is a count of the number of FP17s that qualify for the new patient premium.

Part 2b

Child: FP17s where the patient is a child - defined as a child aged under 18

Non-Exempt: FP17s where the patient is an adult and exemption/remission description is a charge payer

Exempt: FP17s where the patient is an adult and patient charge status is exempt

Note: Contracts flagged with prison activity have been excluded. Publishing this response
