‘Under the the McCloud judgement, it states in the part two part of the judgement, that members of the ERRBO scheme should receive a letter stating their options by the 1st April this year. This has not happened, so under the freedom of information act, I would like too know why this has not happened, what is being done to make this happen and the time date for this to happen in please. I would also like too know who is overseeing the McCloud judgements implementation as well please.’

Why this has not happened

NHS Pensions have been awaiting final instructions from HMRC on the treatment of interest.

What is being done to make this happen

NHS Pensions are liaising with HMRC to understand the instructions.

I would also like too know who is overseeing the McCloud judgements implementation as well please

The overarching policy approach to the McCloud remedy is set by HM Treasury who maintain oversight of its implementation across public service pension schemes. The implementation of McCloud remedy as it applies to impacted NHS Pension Scheme members is overseen by a McCloud Programme Board, chaired by a Senior Civil Servant in the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
