Response
A copy of the information is attached.
This report contains the details from General FP17s processed in English and Welsh contracts for reporting year 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 (to 202403 as the Reporting Year isn’t yet complete) where a Dental Care Professional carries out all of part of the Course of Treatment (COT). The information within the report includes the data items and descriptions listed below.
Reporting Year:
The financial year which the activity relate to. Year-end methodology will include all activity data (including amendments) collected from FP17s scheduled in any of the fifteen schedule months from April to June, where the date of completion is on or between 1 April and 31 March of the year. For example 2022-23 will include all activity data (including amendments) collected from FP17s scheduled in any of the fifteen schedule months from April 2022 to June 2023, where the date of completion is on or between 1 April 2022 and 31 March 2023. Where FP17s do not have a date of completion, e.g. where the patient has failed to return to complete the treatment, the date of acceptance is used.
Country Name:
This is the country that the contract is located in.
Total FP17s:
This is a count of the number of FP17s scheduled including adjustments for amended and deleted FP17s. Withdrawn FP17s are not included in the total count of FP17s. This figure may be zero or negative if deleted FP17s have been processed.
Dental Care Professional FP17s:
This is a count of the number of FP17s scheduled where a Dental Care Professional has been involved in the treatment process.
DCP Description:
This is defined based on the job description - Clinical Technician, Dental Nurse, Hygienist, Therapist.
Note: a DCP would only carry out part of an FP17. We do not know which part of the course of treatment the DCP has performed, and there would always be a dental performer number against the COT.
