Response
A copy of the information is attached. Please read the below notes to ensure correct understanding of the data.
Guidance Notes
This report contains the details from General FP17s processed for Calendar Year 2022 for England & Wales. Includes activity by Foundation Dentists. The information within the report includes the data items and descriptions listed below.
Year Month
Used throughout the system to identify the specific year and month that the data relates to, i.e. for forms, it would be the month that the activity was scheduled. This is in the format 'YYYYMM' e.g. 201804 for April 2018.
FP17 with Endodontic (All)
This is a count of the number of FP17s for all Endodontic Treatments scheduled including adjustments for amended and deleted FP17s during the schedule period stated, for the reporting year including Foundation Dentist (FD) activity. Withdrawn FP17s are not included in the total count of FP17s. This figure may be zero or negative if deleted FP17s have been processed.
Molar Endodontic FP17s
Either Yes or No. Yes will return forms where the Molar Endodontic box was ticked in part 5a of the FP17 from December 2021 onwards.
Molar Endodontic Rate
As a Percentage of Molar Endodontic FP17s/FP17 with Endodontic (All)x100.
Non-Molar Endodontic FP17s
All Endodontic FP17s - Molar Endodontic FP17s.
Non-Molar Endodontic Rate
As a Percentage of Non-Molar Endodontic FP17s/FP17 with Endodontic (All)x100.
Endodontic Treatment (Pre 202210) FP17s
This is a count of the number of forms submitted where the endodontic treatment box has been ticked. This was prior to October 2022 before the distinction between Molar and Non-Molar was made.
Note
FP17 counts for Non-Molar and Molar Endodontic treatment began in October 2022, so prior to that we counted Endodontic treatments and made no distinction between tooth types.
