Question 2
Volume of members with more than one active post with a different GP Practice as of 01/04/2024: 3,840

Caveats/Comments:
GP Practices are identified by their employment type. For question 3 and 4 “NHS Employer” is defined as any employer which is NOT a GP Practice.
Due to the questions not being mutually exclusive, and members being able to be pensionable in any number of part time posts, it is possible for a member to be counted in each group.
The data provided in this FOI response counts all scheme members including those working in clinical and non-clinical roles.
Definitions:
Active Scheme Member – Member was contributing to the pension scheme as of 31/03/2024.
Out of Hours provider – An Employing Authority which provides GP out of hours cover outside of normal practice hours.
