Can you please provide
(i) the number of applications for an EHIC and GHIC from those with 'indefinite leave to remain' and 'indefinite leave to enter' immigration status,
(ii) the number of cards issued for these applications,
(iii) of these successful applications from those with 'indefinite leave to remain' and 'indefinite leave to enter' immigration status, the number of cards issued that last 5 years, less than 5 years but more than 4 years, less than 4 years but more than 3 years, less than 3 years but more than 2 years, less than 2 years but more than 1 year, and less then 1 year?
If you do not have the information on the period of validity in question (iii), please provide the expiry dates of the EHIC and GHIC cards, linked to their dates of application.
Please also provide the reasons why despite the fact that their right to enter or remain in the UK is not limited, why these applicants have not received an EHIC or GHIC that lasts 5 years.

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. This is because the NHSBSA does not record which applications were approved solely on the evidence provided by the applicant of indefinite leave to remain or indefinite leave to enter.
