England General Activity Data 2014 Onward

Financial Year: The current financial year associated with the contract information.

Year Month: The month of the financial year associated with the contract information.

Country Name: The country associated with the contract

Region Name: The latest region name of the associated with the contract

Region Code: The latest region code of the associated with the contract

Commissioner Name: The current commissioner name associated with the contract

Commissioner Code: The latest commissioner code associated with the contract

Contract Number: The contract ID number

Paid by BSA: ‘Y’ indicator are contracts paid by NHSBSA. ‘N’ indicator are contracts not paid are commissioned locally for example community dentists or other specialist services.

Contract Type: Either GDS, PDS or PDS Plus

Charge Band: The Band of Treatment entered on the FP17 (Band 1, 2, 3, Urgent Treatment or ‘Other’

General Form Count: The count of FP17s processed in the period

Patient Count: The count of patients associated with the FP17s

UDA Delivered: The Units of Dental Activity attributed to the FP17 for the treatment provided

This information allows you to look at the activity provided for each financial year at national, regional, commissioner and contract level. You can compare the general activity delivered to that commissioned in the contract data. This will give you an idea of how areas of contracts are performing. Please note it will not give the whole picture as other services may be commissioned locally but will give a broad outline.
