Request
It's not for me to tell you it's for you to tell me in a format that's accessible to me, which is a menu of choices of what reasonable adjustments I could ask for if I was made aware of them. Your legal duty is to be positive and proactive, so supplying a menu, a list of reasonable adjustments would be a positive and proactive manner.
Response
The NHSBSA does not maintain a list of reasonable adjustments to select. Adjustments that work for one person may not work for another and everyone’s experiences are different. Our approach is always to speak to the person requiring support to understand what their needs are and how they feel we could assist or make adjustments as a joint approach.
The individuals’ knowledge of themselves and their own health condition is the priority.
We do not maintain a central record of adjustments because this is personal health information which is sensitive. This information would be held locally where someone has an adjustment.
