A substitute award is a change to a member’s pensions benefits as a result of a change in pay or service. The data shows the number of substitute awards completed with the mean and median time taken to complete a substitute award for the dates requested.
This data reflects all substitute awards successfully completed between 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023 (inclusive).
The mean and median days are based on the time elapsed between us being notified of a substitute award and it being completed. They are provided in calendar days.
The data provided in this FOI response counts all members who have had a substitute award completed in these dates including those working in clinical and non-clinical roles.
