Could you please let me know how many payments have been made in England in regard to compensation for deaths and injuries caused by any of the covid vaccines.

All data as of 9 October 2023. All data relates to claims received by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) and those transferred from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on 1 November 2021. All figures provided relate to COVID-19 vaccines.

The Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) is not a compensation scheme. It provides a one-off tax free payment, currently £120,000, to successful applicants who, on very rare occasions, are severely disabled as a result of a vaccine against a specified disease, within the meaning of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act. 

126 Vaccine Damage Payments for COVID-19 have been made to claimants with an address in England.
