Response

Question 1

Please see the attached document.

Please note:

• The results are based on customer residence in Scotland at time of treatment or S2 application, the year treatment took place and a financial claim for the treatment covered by the S2 being received from the member state or customer.

• Treatment covers planned treatment and giving birth.

• If a treatment spans more than one year it is recorded against the year it started.

• There is no deadline by which member states may submit claims. Treatment may have taken place under the S2 scheme, but no claim has been received to date. In this case the treatment is not included in the data above.

• If a customer had more than one treatment under the S2 scheme they will be recorded separately.

Question 3

Please see the attached document.

Please note:

• Births are not included in these results as EU Member States do not issue maternity S2s.

• The data is based on planned treatments advised to the NHSBSA to date by Health Boards in Scotland.
