Question 5 [of FOI 32045]
Of all these claims mentioned how many have been successful for
60% damage
Death
For UK and how many are
N. Ireland cases?
Can you please explain:-
-
Why/When has a new reporting system been created?
-
Why has the system changed to prevent N. I. Cases being identified.
-
I assume these N. I. Reports were opened to add to the UK Vaccine Damage Payment so why would you need to reopen N. Ireland claims?
With todays computer technology I do not understand why these reports would need to be reopened manually.
Are you implying claims from N. Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England are now included into the UK Vaccine Damage Claims as one, so we will no longer know the number of claims from each of these areas?
Response
From Dec 2020 to Feb 2023, 44 claims for a Vaccine Damage Payment were awarded. Disablement was assessed to be at 60% or more for all 44 claims. In total, 22 awarded claims relate to a deceased person.
