Request
How many people are currently receiving an annual pension from the National Health Service Pension Scheme which is higher than thirty three thousand pounds, fifty thousand pounds, and one hundred thousand pounds, before tax or any other deductions? Please include those reaching or having reached the normal scheme pension ages, pensions paid to dependents, surviving spouses or civil partners, and eligible children, ill-health retirement pensions, and pensions paid to former spouses, civil partners of NHS Pension Scheme members as part of pension sharing or divorce orders made by courts? Please provide annual pensions for the three annual pensions outlined above for the years 2015, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023?

Please note
We have looked back over several years to determine the pension in payment at the times stated in your request. This does not necessarily mean those pensions are still being paid in the present day. For example, some members in receipt of benefits in 2015 will have since died.
To provide only those pensions where the member is ‘currently receiving benefits’ (i.e. in the present day) then we would not be able to provide data for 2015, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023.
