-Provide the information broken down by years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

For 2018, we are only able to provide volumes of approved S2 applications. We are unable to provide volumes of any rejected applications from this year, as we do not hold this information.

A copy of the information is attached. The table shows a breakdown of the amounts claimed, the amounts accepted to date, and the number of claims received against S2 and E112 entitlements. This information is grouped by year of treatment conclusion and country. It is possible that further claims will be received for these years. The amount accepted is liable to change for all years. We are unable to provide a breakdown of nationality for S2 applicants, as this is not mandatory information for all applications. Note: Not all S2s are used or claimed against. Direct claims may be submitted by a customer for reimbursement of treatment costs relating to the S2, where a customer was charged for treatment.

Values have been converted to GBP using the June value for the relevant year, except for 2023 which used the March value, from https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/how-eu-funding-works/information-contractors-and-beneficiaries/exchange-rate-inforeuro_en and are approximate.
