FINANCIAL_YEAR Financial Year string The financial year for which the claim for dispensed items has been submitted to NHSBSA, from April to March in any given year.
FINANCIAL_QUARTER Financial Quarter string The financial quarter for which the claim for dispensed items has been submitted to NHSBSA, where Q1= April to June, Q2 = July to September, Q3 = October to December, and Q4 = January to March.
SICBL_CODE SICBL Code string SICBL code is the unique identifying code attributed to a Sub-ICB Location (SICBL).
SICBL_NAME SICBL Name string The name of the Sub-ICB Location (SICBL)
BNF_SECTION_CODE BNF Section Code string The first four digits of the 15-digit BNF Code, which indicate the chapter and section of the BNF where the drug is categorised.
BNF_SECTION_NAME BNF Section string The name of the BNF section where the drug is categorised
PATIENT_GENDER Patient Gender string Patient gender has been reported using the latest patient gender information from NHS Personal Demographic Service (PDS) held by the NHSBSA Information Services data warehouse at the time that the data was extracted. Gender is either: Male, Female, Not Known (where no information is held) or Indeterminate (where information is held which does not confirm either Male or Female).
AGE_BAND Age Band string Indicates the age band for identifiable patients. If a patient's age has not been able to be verified, the age band will be indicated as unknown.
FY_AVG_LS Financial Year Average List Size number The average number of registered patients per practice during the financial year, calculated using all months where the practice had a recorded list size.
TOTAL_PATIENTS Total Patient Count number A total count of patients, whether identified or unidentified by means of recording an NHS Number during prescription processing.
PATS_PER_1000 Patients per 1000 number The number of patients receiving the medication, divided by the average list size for the financial year, multiplied by 1000.
