I think there might be some issues with the SNOMED codes in the August 2025 data. I've been specifically looking at this product - https://openprescribing.net/dmd/amp/44078311000001101/ When using the browser tool to filter it suggests an alternative code 44078311000001100 (same as above but ending 0) then returns no results. If I use the API with the original code I do get results, but these are listed under the code ending 0. https://opendata.nhsbsa.net/api/3/action/datastore_search_sql?resource_id=EPD_SNOMED_202508&sql=SELECT%20*%20FROM%20`EPD_SNOMED_202508`%20WHERE%20SNOMED_CODE%20=%2044078311000001101 This looks like behaviour we've seen previously where software has autoconverted SNOMED codes from integer to float. I've looked at a few prior months and they don't seem to have the same issue for this item.

The SNOMED code displayed on the portal was incorrect because very large numeric values can be automatically converted into floating-point numbers in the browser, which cannot reliably store numbers of this size and may round the final digit. The correct value in the underlying dataset is 44078311000001101, but this rounding caused it to appear as 44078311000001100. We have updated the ODP environment so that large identifiers are handled as text rather than numbers, ensuring they now display exactly as provided in the source data. Show more |

I couldn't easily find the link to the data set and then I wasn't sure if I needed t click on the left or right and if it gave me the same data or not, bit confusing. It would be easier if it was sorted in month order with most recent first rather than me have to do this and the columns are difficult to read as the cell isn't wrapped and you have to scroll to the right to see the last column but there is loads of spare space on the web page. It seems a bit clunky, the data tables could be improved so they can be read easier.

Very good, but not perfect. Each month I sort/filter the EPD in a specific way for downloading. I would like to be able to recall and apply my selections and filters each time I access the dataset, so I don't have to rebuild it each time I come in.

Hello, The latest ‘Prescriber Details’ CSV file for April 2025 has erroneous values in the ‘PROVIDER_SICBL_CODE’ column. Confirmed the info was available for all. Don't publish it online. Because this is now available for all to see, my associate (who doesn't fully understand how a dental practice is run) feels that he can decide his own UDA fee. After 11 happy years, he has found these figures and he feels he is being underpaid so he wants to go private elsewhere. Basically, because of the release of this data, you are very likely to have lost one dedicated full time NHS dentist in an area where recruitment is impossible. Thanks a bunch!

2025-05-02 Checked against data which appears in ePACT2 and can confirm no prescribing appears for Aflibercept or Ranibizumab at all since Sept 2024 at least. Faricimab is a Hospital Only drug. The CHEMICAL_SUBSTANCE_BNF_DESCR in ODP for Dexamethasone, and Fluocinolone acetonide returns results. BNF_DESCRIPTION in ODP for Sodium Chloride 5% eye drops returns results. Therefore no action required to be taken as data appears correct when the above information is considered.

Site is extremely slow. And the API is, as is always the case with CKAN powered sites next to impossible to use by anyone but the most hardcore of data users. Search is too basic and keyword focused. Suggested improvements: Better speed. Datasets which update rather than have additional files added so a single URL can always show all data for that dataset. Currently they all get a different URL whenever a new file is added.

Can confirm significant improvements made to search function as of June 2025. Furthermore, API guidance (in documentation section) and improved example API scripts are provided for users. Faster performance and improved stability should also be noted since June 2025 deployments. With regards to single URL: That’s not currently possible — each new file upload creates a new URL on the Open Data Portal based on the unique resource ID.
