Coming soon: Updated Contractor Details Dataset

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) Contractor Details dataset will soon be updated with additional fields.

The dataset is scheduled to be updated during December 2024, though this date is subject to change.

Why are we updating the dataset?

NHS Prescription Services identified that the current Contractor Details dataset could be enhanced to support enquiries and reduce waiting times for responses. Many requests received by the service relate to the additional fields, so we aim to streamline access to this information. It will also provide a more comprehensive overview of contractor information available to the NHSBSA.

What will be updated in the dataset?

The following additional fields will be added to the dataset:

• Region code

• Region name

• Health and Wellbeing Board name

• Health and Wellbeing Board code

• Local Pharmaceutical Committee name

• Local Pharmaceutical Committee code

• Dispenser account type

• Contractor type

• Flags for LPS contractors, distance selling, Out of Hours Pharmacies, and 100-hour pharmacies
