Specifically, I am requesting the following information:

Top 100 Licensed Medications (by volume, pack size, strength and cost ):

The actual cost paid by the hospital pharmacy for each item and also the list price.

Any discounts or rebates received on these items with respect to any contractual arrangements / contract prices.

The quantity ordered over the specified last 12-month period.

The name(s) of the wholesaler(s) or suppliers used to procure each item.

Top 20 Unlicensed Medications used within hospitals (by volume, pack size, strength and cost ):

The actual cost paid by the hospital pharmacy for each item and also the list price.

Any discounts or rebates received on these items with respect to any contractual arrangements / contract prices

Quantity ordered over the specified 12-month period.

The source or manufacturer from which the unlicensed medication was obtained.

If possible, please provide this data in spreadsheet format (e.g., Excel or CSV) to facilitate analysis.

if some of the data is held by individual NHS Trusts in the region rather than centrally, we would appreciate if this information is obtained from those bodies and provided in response to this request.’

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHS Business Services Authority. The authority does not record information on drugs procured or dispensed and used in secondary care settings such as hospitals.
