I understand NHS Commissioning Support Units (CSUs) sit under the NHS BSA as a parent organisation (with a link to NHS England). I also understand that CSUs are to close by end of March 2027 and that presently, funding for redundancies is yet to be identified. If 31st March 2027 arrives with no funding identified for redundancy under the employee's NHS CSU contractual terms and conditions (e.g. one months pay for each year worked, up to a maximum of 24 years), then would there be a possibility that the person being made redundant will not receive their contractual redundancy pay, but instead the bare minimum redundancy payment under the Government redundancy pay scheme (as detailed at https://www.gov.uk/redundancy-your-rights/redundancy-pay)? Or is the latter just for employees working for private companies and that therefore, the NHS CSU must continue to employ the employee beyond it's current stated closure date until such time as NHS CSU employee redundancy contractual terms and funding are met?
