Subject: Freedom of Information Request – Handling of Evidence Submissions (Ref: 2510-2267299 / NHS:686422)

Dear NHS England,

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I refer to correspondence dated 28 October 2025 linked to NHS England reference 2510-2267299 and case reference NHS:686422 . NW London ICB responsible.

Please provide the following information:

Confirmation of whether correspondence submitted to NHS England in relation to an existing case is routinely logged upon receipt

The standard process for logging and recording additional evidence submitted to an ongoing case

The systems used to record such submissions (e.g. case management systems or databases)

Standard timeframes for reviewing additional evidence submitted to an existing case

The process followed where submitted evidence is not acted upon

Policies or guidance governing the handling of new evidence in long-running or historical cases

Whether NHS England has any audit or oversight mechanism to ensure submitted evidence is reviewed

The procedure for identifying and addressing situations where relevant evidence has not been incorporated into a case

Please confirm whether correspondence dated 28 October 2025 linked to the above references was received and logged

If it was received but not progressed, please confirm the applicable process or category under which it would fall

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the NHSBSA.

The NHSBSA is a separate organisation from NHS England. The information you have requested relates to NHS England’s internal case handling, systems, and processes, and is not information held by NHSBSA.
